February 5th, 2004: Benjamin
Ruff Current Specs - Ben is the 2nd owner ( he inherited from his grandparents), and it's all original. He's had the car since 1993, and the transmission was rebuilt several years ago. Sadly, the car has been sitting in storage for a few years, as the motor needs a rebuild (burning water). Plans are to restore this car, with minor mod's to make it more fun to drive. The car also needs some body work; both bumpers need straightening / re-chroming, and the car needs new paint. Front seat needs refurbishing too. bjrstudios@gearhedz.com Car

February 7th, 2004: Neil Carfra Current Specs - Although repainted in the past, its still in the factory color. Its drive-train is a mid-1980s 5.0L from a Mustang mated to a cop car 4spd auto transmission. It has disk brakes up front and a few other nice features. Neil's owned it since the summer of 2002 having found it offered for sale on E-bay. He love's driving it and his five year old told him that the only thing that would make it cooler would be to have a bat mouth on the front. So far, he has resisted adding that! ncarfra@shaw.ca Car
#10 - Current Specs - The car is in OK mechanical shape. Dave is working on a few problems. The 260 V8 engine runs. He will be replacing all the brake cylinders this spring. There is very little rust, need to replace the right rear floor panel. It needs a lot of little things but it also needs paint and a new interior. It hasn't been outside for a couple of years as its a work in progress. metro1@ispwest.com Car

February 20th, 2004: Dan Browning Current Specs - The car is in pretty good shape, the upholstery was redone I believe to the original condition. The outside is two tone- white and turquoise and the interior to match. Needs chrome to be redone and a few surface rust repairs. I believe the car was repainted at some point. What is a ball park figure to what these cars are worth, I need to give my insurance company an estimate to insure it. It is not a trailer queen show car but it is far from a total restoration car. dan.browning@juno.com Car

3rd, 2004: Michael Kolesar Current Specs - The car has bucket seats and a console. It has a stock 260-V8 with a factory 4-speed and dual exhaust. The car is bone stock right down to the tri-colored hubcaps and the AM radio. The only alterations are a detailed engine and traction bars. bertk1@msn.com Car #18registered

3rd, 2004: Ed Rizzo Current Specs - Now that Ed has had a chance to really look at the car, it turns out that it has a 289 for power not a 260. So somewhere in it's life, the 260 went away and a 289 found it's way into the engine bay. azzoo14@att.net Car #19registered

3rd, 2004: Arie Hofstee Current Specs - The car is still black with a red interior. It has the 260 which is bored .040 over and has a 1965 comet 4 barrel intake on it. The car came with power steering. Arie adapted a power brake unit from a Geo Storm for use on the Meteor, the proportioning valve was used and a extra brake line was run to the rear wheels so that it has a dual braking system. Front has disc brake set up from a 68 Torino, the spindles bolted right on and braking ability is excellent. The car came from Arkansas 4 years ago, and was just finished last year. The interior had to be done completely as all upholstery was just dust. The car is not a show car just a cruiser for the family. ariehof@rogers.com Car #20registered

6th, 2004: Tom Goodman Current Specs - The car is still original, never been repainted. It is very plain, no radio, no power steering, no backup lights, no mirrors, nothing except a heater. It did have an add-on engine block heater that was leaking so it was removed. Tom purchased the car in 2003 from the original owner (she was in her 90s). It cost more to ship the car from Superior, Nebraska, to Maryland than what he paid for it. The car was in storage for 28 years, last registered in 1975. The car is in fairly decent shape, some sun fading in the interior, minor rust on the right rear quarter panel, saggy springs, and the never-ending saga of gasket replacements and fixing things that get broke while making repairs. tgfathergoose@aol.com Car #21registered June
7th, 2004:
Dan Olson Current Specs - This was Dan's first meteor, he recently replaced the weak 221 with a 1964 260 V8, only to find that for some reason I didn't have compression on all cylinders. He's planning to have the 221 rebuilt and get it re-installed. The car now has dual exhaust and Ford electronic ignition. It has been repainted a beige metallic. dano@agora.rdrop.com Car #22registered June

Dan Olson Current Specs -
This is a strange one. It
was sold to Dan as an S33 and looks to have the original bucket seats and
console. The front was wrecked and the second VIN, from a 4 door, is the one
currently on the inner fender. The first VIN was on the back of the door panel.
This car currently has a 351W and 3 speed, but the motor will be swapped as it
has no motor mounts! This car originally had a 260 and was presidential Car #24registered June

Dan Olson Current Specs - This is a 4 door sedan in cherry red with a 221 V8, but is now painted flat black. The top apparently had been damaged and was cut off, making it a rare '62 Meteor convertible. It will soon become a parts car. dano@agora.rdrop.com Car #25registered June

Randy Tupa Current Specs - Randy updated the brakes and steering on the car to 11" power disc brakes and power steering out of a 1978 Mercury Monarch except for the power brake booster and master cylinder which are out of a 1989 Pontiac lemans. It sure drives and stops nice. Currently the car has been totally restored from the ground up. Everything was stripped to bare metal. It is now painted Emerald green pearl metallic, the interior is white leather with emerald cloth inserts in the front and back seats, door panels are white leather with emerald green leather rolled, and green carpet and white headliner. the engine and transmission are original but freshened up. The car only had 58,000 original on it when Randy got it. tupa@virginiamn.com Car #28registered August 2nd, 2004: Eric Floen, California - USA. 1962 Meteor S-33, Built at the Kansas plant, USA, Factory Specs - Serial#: 2K47F520581 Body 62C 1962 S-33 2 door sedan Paint code: F Sea blue Trim code: 52 Light blue Met vinyl, medium blue Met vinyl Engine: F - 260 cid 8 cylinder Axle code: 5 - 3.50:1, DSO code: 52 Los Angeles Trans code: 3 - 2 speed auto Production Date: 22B - February 22nd, 1962 Current Specs - The car has no interior. The body is primer gray but has all chrome trim intact. The engine and trans have been swapped out for a 302 and C4 out of an early '80s mustang. Plans include to upgrade the motor's performance. Give the body a two-tone paint job with Copperhead Orange (House of Color) for the body and a white roof. The interior will go black and white. efloen@cimarrongroup.com Car #29registered August

Cal is planning on restoring the old girl. He plans to pull the motor this winter for a freshen-up and redo the brakes, he's trying to keep everything as stock as possible as it has yet to be modified in any way. cfoston@sympatico.ca Car #31registered August 20th, 2004: Andy Cabrera, East Brunswick , N.J. - USA. 1963 Meteor Custom 4dr sedan, Built at the Dearborn plant, USA, Factory Specs - Serial#: 3F42F530542 Body 54B 1963 Meteor Custom 4 door sedan Paint code: M Sultana White Trim code: 12- Med blue high crush grain vinyl and light blue met.
